THE NEED FOR CONNECTION IS UNIVERSAL, but each person experiences IT differently
And that’s where a lot of connection and employee programming can fail to not only help people connect but even create the seeds of disconnection. It’s become far too easy to mix words like community, networking, connection and culture. If we don’t understand the differences and interplay between them it’s hard to know exactly what to do and what to expect from people. So instead we default to a steady cadence of water bottles, t-shirts, happy hours and well appointed plants. As a speaker I teach and inspire people to understand these differences, so they might consider how they connect as individuals and work towards building a community and culture to which they aspire.
